Patient position——
When performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, we need to have the patient lie on their back on a hard, flat surface to ensure that they are under pressure.
If the patient is on a soft bed and you happen to be alone and unable to lift them to the ground, you can insert some hard objects like cardboard into the patient's back.
Pressing area——
The position of CPR is at the midpoint of the sternum connecting the two nipples.
However, there are also some special situations that are difficult to determine, such as a patient having one breast cut off or a woman's breast sagging. Another positioning method is to extend your five fingers together under the patient's armpit, and pull them flat from here to the center of the sternum, which is where you will perform CPR.
Pressing posture——
First, cross your fingers tightly and use the palm root as the touchpoint to press.
Then kneel on the patient's side, keeping the wrists, elbows, and shoulders vertical, and use the upper body to exert pressure.
When pressing, remember to observe the patient's face at any time to see if there is any reaction during the process, or if the face starts to turn red.
